HF Radio Reporting

Vessels on passage within the service area of Passage Guardian Radio ZMH292, and fitted with an HF / SSB transceiver, may transmit their daily welfare reports via radio.

The service area is from the equator to 50S, and 145E to Cape Horn, although communication beyond these limits may be possible.

Yachts fitted with a 15 metre back stay antenna and ground plate are more likely to establish contact than vessels with other antenna systems.

The times and frequencies to call Passage Guardian Radio ZMH292 will be provided in the float plan acknowledgement.

Pleae confirm availability of HF Radio Reporting prior to departure.
