Passage Guardian Radio ZMH292 is a government licensed high frequency (HF) maritime coast station located in the South Island of New Zealand.

Recreational vessels intending to call Passage Guardian Radio ZMH292 are requested to notify me prior to departure via;

Test calls from vessels at anchor are also welcomed.

Service Area

Passage Guardian Radio’s service area includes the Tasman & Coral Seas, South West Pacific Ocean and the Southern Ocean from Tasmania to Cape Horn. Greater ranges are possible with less reliability.

Working Frequencies (KHz)

You may be directed to use any of the frequencies below.
Ensure your marine HF radio is programmed for simplex (transmit & receive) using upper side band (J3E/USB).
Primary working frequencies are 8713 and 12353 KHz.
